Before stepping into education leadership, Shafiqa gained over years of experience in health research, specializing in trauma, injury, and emergency care. She contributed to NIH-funded projects at the Aga Khan University. Her career bridges health research and education, grounded in a deep commitment to refugee empowerment, women’s health, and migration health. Through her dual roles in research and education, Shafiqa is dedicated to building equitable opportunities for displaced communities.
